Choosing the best brake pads – brake pads prices

Posted on April 27, 2020 by automechanictrainingcenter

There are lots of things to talk about the brake pads prices, but first, we are going to discuss some points that you keep in your mind before you choose brake pads for your car. These guidelines will help you find the best brake pads. There are some pads which are only compatible with few vehicles. But some brake pads even work perfectly with almost every car. Because there are lots of choices available in the market nowadays, your mind will get puzzled about which to choose and which one is the best. Most of the time, you can decide by looking at the car model you have. Let’s discuss it in detail.

Light compact cars:

Compact cars don’t need a lot of force to stop as compared to the truck. The organic compound brakes can work perfectly fine in these cars. These brake pads have enough power to stop a car with very less noise as compared to other brake pads. The other advantage is that they are quite cheaper as well. You have another option if you get bothered with these brake pads. You can buy ceramic brake pads as their substitute, but they are expensive.

Mid-size cars:

Their size is bigger as compared to previous ones, and they need a bit heavy brake pads to stop them perfectly. The recommendation is a low-metallic NAO brake set. When you have metal in your brake pads, it will provide more support and power to stop the car, but it will be a little bit noisy. Again, if you are bothered with these metallic brakes, you can buy the ceramic brake pads, but they will cost you extra money.

Sports cars:

If you have a car that goes from 0-100 mph will surely need brake pads that can handle that much speed and stop the car with any problem. Semi-metallic brake pads are the best solution for these types of cars. But you also have another option if you are not comfortable with semi-metallic brake pads. You can use a set of ceramic brake pads for optimum results.

Trucks, Vans, and Minivans:

If you have a truck, SUV, or minivan, then you can use low-metallic and semi-metallic brake pads. They will stop these big vehicles smoothly. If you don’t want to use them, you can use ceramic brake pads as well. But the ceramic brake pads prices are a bit high.
